CypCut system diagnosis

The upgrade begins with a protected backup and an audit of installed CypCut version, FSCUT hardware, license state, motion interfaces and process database. The goal is to identify a supported upgrade path without overwriting a working production configuration.

  • Archive controller parameters, nesting settings, process libraries and alarm history.
  • Identify FSCUT board generation, connected height control, drives and I/O modules.
  • Review license entitlement and compatibility of the target software and hardware.

Supported upgrade architecture

The retained CypCut installation is updated through a planned combination of supported FSCUT hardware, software, licensing and process data. Control settings are migrated through backups and verification rather than copied straight into a live production machine.

  • Define the approved target versions for CypCut, FSCUT hardware and related drivers.
  • Stage parameter and process-library migration using an offline backup set.
  • Replace unsupported interface boards or peripherals only where the audit requires it.

Commissioning and production acceptance

Commissioning proves that backed-up functions, nesting workflow, height control and machine safety behave correctly after the upgrade. Acceptance compares repeat parts against the pre-upgrade baseline and confirms the operator can recover the documented configuration.

  • Restore verified parameters and test motion, I/O, alarms and safety behavior.
  • Validate representative nesting files, pierce recipes and cut quality.
  • Archive final versions and train operators on new functions and recovery steps.

Typical Customer Challenges

01

Older FSCUT hardware, licenses or process databases may not support current production requirements.

02

Rising maintenance cost and unpredictable downtime

03

Need for higher power, easier operation or current process functions

Retrofit Engineering

Compatibility comes before configuration

Every project requires a machine-specific assessment. Final hardware, software and achievable performance depend on the existing mechanical accuracy, drive system, I/O, electrical cabinet, safety circuit and selected laser power.

A thorough engineering review confirms the retrofit solution is compatible, integrated correctly and sized around the real machine condition and production target.

Mechanical & electrical condition
Machine base, cabinet condition and safety readiness
Control, drives & fieldbus
Existing controller, drives, I/O and motion network
Target materials & laser power
Material, thickness, process target and proposed power

Assessment outcome

The review turns machine evidence into a clear engineering decision.

  • Feasibility confirmedIdentify the constraints that affect a retrofit path.
  • Scope definedSet the required controls, interfaces and safety work.
  • Commissioning plannedPrepare installation, parameter setup and handover.

Selecting the right Bochu control platform

CypCut is a leading Chinese sheet-metal laser cutting software platform. Depending on power, motion architecture and process requirements, a project may use CypCut, CypCutPro or an EtherCAT-based FSCUT8000/HypCut solution.

Match the control platform to the installed laser power, motion architecture, I/O scope and the process control your production requires.

Installed power
Laser source and planned duty cycle
Motion & fieldbus
Existing drives, pulse control or EtherCAT readiness
Required process control
Everyday production, advanced functions or high-power coordination
